Dates matter to people planning a diwan, a family function or leave from work. When we get one wrong, we fix it quickly and openly.
What counts as an error
- a date that does not match the published SGPC calendar or Punjab Government notification
- a calculation mistake in a desi date, lunar date, sunrise or Sangrand time
- a factual mistake in a festival or Gurpurab guide
- a broken link or a page that shows the wrong year
A date that differs only because another jantri uses a different place or rule is not an error, but we will explain the difference on the page if it causes confusion.
What we do
- We check the report against the SGPC calendar, the government notice or our calculation.
- If we were wrong, we correct the page, and every page and PDF that uses the same date, usually within two working days.
- For a changed date of a Gurpurab or holiday, we add a short note on the page saying what changed and when.
- We reply to the person who reported it.
