The month of Magh
Magh begins with Maghi and the Jor Mela at Sri Muktsar Sahib. The cold slowly eases, and by its end Basant brings yellow kites and the first mustard blossom.
Magh in the Barah Maha
On Sangrand, gurdwaras hold a special diwan where the verse for the new month from Guru Arjan Dev Ji's Barah Maha in Raag Majh is read. The Magh verse speaks of the true bath of pilgrimage: bathing in the dust of the feet of the holy and meditating on the Name.
