The month of Phagun
Phagun is spring in full colour, with the mustard fields in bloom. Holi and Hola Mohalla at Sri Anandpur Sahib usually fall at its end, and the Nanakshahi year closes with it.
Phagun in the Barah Maha
On Sangrand, gurdwaras hold a special diwan where the verse for the new month from Guru Arjan Dev Ji's Barah Maha in Raag Majh is read. The Phagun verse is one of bliss: the Beloved has appeared, and the soul, its doubts gone, celebrates in the company of the Lord.
