The month of Bhadon
Bhadon is humid and heavy as the monsoon winds down. Paddy grows tall in the fields, and many families mark the end of the rains with visits to deras and melas.
Bhadon in the Barah Maha
On Sangrand, gurdwaras hold a special diwan where the verse for the new month from Guru Arjan Dev Ji's Barah Maha in Raag Majh is read. The Bhadon verse warns of the soul led astray by doubt and attachment to duality, which finds no shelter when its time is up.
